Great news for us this end as TurfNet.com in the US have commissioned us to make another series of TurfNet Goes to Ireland this year. Due to the success of the 2008 series on TurfNetTV and the sponsors Syngenta being very happy with the production we’re off to film again around the country in April. This time it might get a wee bit more complicated as it seems that they are bring 30 course superintendents with them as a kind of holiday, so we’ll be covering their antics too. For those who haven’t seen the series it’s made for the Golf course maintenance industry and gets pretty technical but the format also included some other subjects to give the US subscribers a glimpse of some uniquely Irish practices.
So..now we have come up with a new slant on the 3D animations we use as links and the series theme. ..one of our specialities. The Golf ball whizzing around the country does a great job of explaining to US viewers where places are but this time we might actually be building and rigging a 3D character who will pop up whenever he’s needed…as in from behind bunkers etc and pass appropriate comments. It’s all down to time but we do like to get added production value into our work if possible.
