Mind you…what with the workload you’ll have to excuse the edits and production being basic. When she’s old enough she can do her own production. She seems keen to get going anyway judging by this pic we took in Olhos de Agua in Portugal last week. Mind you, I would say that seeing as the good old Digi8 Handicam is almost obsolete now…regrettably..that it would be a museum piece by the time she gets to use it. I have to admit being a fan of Digi8 for consumer diary video..nice big cams with low shake and big tapes. Most of them shoot better DV than the average SD MiniDV consumer cams. Anyway..she’ll probably be doing online mastering of films on something the size of an iPhone by the time she gets to that age.

So…nearly always it’s pronounced Qwee-vah. There are some counties in Ireland that would say Kee-vah but they are in a minority. I’m told by many Irish speakers that Qweevah is the correct old Irish pronunciation. So there you go..

Here is Caoimhe Síle Roisin Ní Ruairc born 9/8/08 in Sligo General Hospital.
On the subject of genes, I’ll be posting later details of my genes…as tested by the Breifne Clans DNA project. It’s all rocket science to me but basically they are saying that I’m carrying a very unique gene…as in an O’Rourke one which is traceable back over 1500 years or something…bearing out the history of the Clan lineage from the Irish Annals and a direct descendant from Niall of the Nine Hostages. That’s one of the guys who brought St.Patrick to Ireland…and a fact I’m not totally comfortable with as the Church has been the bane of this country for far too long. It seems I’m in the same unique category as the O’Connor Don too. When I can digest more I’ll post it.
