Anyway..poor old Sligo. It waited all that time for a nice retail park and the beloved Brit high street stores to come and once they get here the criminal Yanks go and mess up the world economy and the shops shut as quickly as they opened. I’ve been scrummaging around Dunnes Stores lately with my phone in hand to take a pic of some of the price tags on their goods here in the Republic. It seems that they have made two cock-ups. Firstly that they printed their labels back to front so they can’t tear off the sterling price and secondly that they treat their customers here like imbeciles incapable of doing basic arithmetic on the exchange rate.
